How to send bitcoins from your Ledger Nano S wallet to another wallet or exchange.
Note that your coins are not on the Ledger itself, they are tracked on the Blockchain. Your Ledger wallet holds the private data to access and manage your coins. This data, your private keys, give you full access to the coins.
After you send your coins, your Ledger device doesn’t need to be connected as the transaction is made on the blockchain!
Next time you connect your wallet it will synchronize to the blokchain and will display your balance
Copy the recipient address of the wallet / exchange you want to send bitcoins to.
Launch your Bitcoin Chrome application on your computer.
Connect your Ledger device to the computer.
Enter your PIN code.
Launch the Bitcoin wallet buy clicking on the Bitcoin icon on your Ledger Nano S.
This is the chrome app startup window.
On this screen choose “I DONT KNOW” if you are not sure.
This is Click on the “Send” tab and a popup window will appear.
Fill in the required fields and enter the amount you want to send.
Paste the recipient address.
Select your desired fees.
Click on the “Send” button.
Now you need to authenticate your transaction
On your Nano S screen you will see the transaction data to review. Check it and if everything looks OK click on the right button / Vi symbol.
The transaction will now appear in your operations list as unconfirmed.
Wait for Bitcoin blockchain to confirm it or quit the application and check for confirmation later.
You can also click on the lightning icon to accelerate the operation.
If acceleration is not possible this is the massage that will appear.
